Many readers of humanlegion.com have been in touch to ask whether JR Handley is a real person or a malevolent, alien gestalt intelligence from a hellish dimension intent on dominating our own. Others have inquired if the ‘author’ is really alive at all, suspecting he is really a rogue 1997 code branch of ‘Clippy’, the Microsoft Office Assistant. The 2016 Legion Campaign, and advancing into 2017

I want to thank everyone for their contribution to the Legion in 2016 and hope you join us for the 2017 campaign. It’s been a hard year, and with long gaps between releases, but we’ve both grown as a team, and delivered some books I’m truly proud of. And I keep saying ‘we’ rather than ‘I’, that’s because these book projects have all been team efforts. Our first release came out in February 2016. This was a multi-author box set called The Empire At War, featuring some British military science fiction authors: Chris Nuttall (Ark Royal etc.), PP Corcoran (Discovery of the Saiph etc), Phillip Richards (The Union Series). The Sleeping Legion series

Time for more revelations about the Human Legion spin-off series: Sleeping Legion. I announced this a few weeks ago as a series of novellas that pick up the story of the war on Tranquility that we leave behind in Human Empire, the 4th book of the Human Legion series. As tales are wont to do, this beast has come alive and is now telling us its own story. The Sleeping Legion series will indeed pick up the events left in Human Empire, but will now start off many years before the Human Legion series, deep into the dark history of the Human Marine Corps.
